Slipping on my overcoat,
I take a walk to town.
The buttercups are looking up
As I am looking down.

Sitting in the coffee shop,
I glance at channel four.
Captions run across the screen,
Reading of tumultous war.

Sipping tea that has gone cold,
I spot a child watching me.
His curious eyes follow mine
Back to the TV screen.

Slipping silently to my side,
He stretches to whisper in my ear,
"Please don't frown as you do,
Warmer weather will soon be here."

Slipping off my overcoat,
I leave this familiar town.
The buttercups are looking up
As I look around.

"The buttercups are looking up
As I am looking down."

~ Adored those lines!!!

The title of the poem is perfect, "A Newfound Peace from Promising Eyes" ~ a poem of hope, peace ~ and promise.

Love, Light, Peace and Harmony,
Earth Angel
