A dalliance of dawn bequeaths her silk sarong
In frosting of imaginations whim
Elusive wings conclude
Waning to the left, to the right
The mist at my fingertips

If I hire a ride through the fog once belied
Touching foot on a shore of sweet grass
Listening to gurgled tunes that alas
Hold myself close to the firestone
A sunrise that expects you

Each teardrop that reflects you
Seems to sound a deep and hollow throat
Making wishes far too intimate to note
Though lips round about the need
Roaming chances that become a sunset

Splashing color in the blushes of my mind
Cool the canvas clouds, laying low
More than I could ever know
And I wait to find another day
Someone near to hear the cream colored sway

A dalliance of dawn bequeaths her silk sarong
And under buttered morn my eyes converse with promise

TD, you convey so much beauty through your writing. Only someone with such beauty within could write as you do, Dear Poetess.

You truly have a gift and thank you for sharing it with us all.

Love & Light,
EA

simply lovely, well done, pleasant read...had a tone of classics, rich and full of life...bittersweet yet, such a grand ending....

Someone near to hear the cream colored sway

such tenderness in your words
as you write of that fragile yet sometimes
unyielding veil between

Aliterations, internal rhymes and beautiful imagery make this poem as real pleasure to read.

never try to teach a pig to sing
it wastes your time AND annoys the pig

As always, your writing is as smooth as silk,
and sashays down the page so prettily.

I don't know how you do it Kathleen, but I'm so glad you do.
