When things get tough
and tears start to fall
outside I go
to sit under the serenity tree

Looking up at the strong branches
It's strength I gain
Watching the boughs bend with the wind
I know that I too am strong enough to bend

no matter what I'm feeling
sitting under the serenity tree
helps to calm and strengthen me
in a silent gentle way

The serenity tree
a gentle silent giant
with strong flexible branches
reminding us to be strong yet
flexible enough to bend through
life's trials, failures and successes

Wonderful write.

And yes, we can bend with whatever comes our way.. heck, I think I'm a rubberband most of the time

And sometimes, being broken does not really break us, it just defines us a little more.

Thank you for sharing this.
