Merry-go-round

The Merry-go-round of ups and downs
Dances emotions and grinds the mill
Sculptors my face from smiles to frowns
Desires that pass within me still

It plays a xylophone in my shrine
Beating a beat of nursery rhyme
That titillates the nerves of my spine
And echoes me the sands of my time

It’s a day dream that plays a tune
And releases my dragon to fly
Shuffling me the sun and the moon
Separating the truth from the lie

It wines me at a dizzying pace
Of all the memories that lay in store
O’er shadows of an earlier grace
The wishing well of forever more

It’s a dance macabre upon a stage
And the Merry-go-round of my age

Oh, thank goodness! I couldn't leave the puter screen until I saw that you had posted my dear friend Seymour. I was worried about you. And, here all along, you were on life's carousel. hugs, Chris

Chris,
Thank you dear for the concern. You are a sweet heart. I haven't been writing much so I wont be posting every day. Don't worry I am well.

Oh Sy!!!  I was so worried...
(I know Chris and I worry alike..cause we're sisters!)
But not reading you for a few days..I/we were so concerned.
(Oh I know I must sound like a babbling brook, lol)
Now I can relax a bit...
Glad everything is okay...
I get the black horse on the carousel.

Around and around, and around Sigh goes,
With rings on his fingers and bells on his toes!

Around and around, the carousel spins
He writes of sweet roses, stars, needles and pins.

Around and around, he twirls like top,
May he whirl and swirl and not ever stop!
