Madame Duvalle In The Casbah

How could I have known, that very day,
that the lovely Madame Duvalle would
be gracing the streets of the Casbah.
Oh, her visit was not for my pleasure,
she had commissioned a fine sailing ship
with a pirates crew (she knew not they
were pirates) to follow the path of
her mysterious map, and to recover
sunken treasures for her pleasure.
She paid their wages, secured their
services for one year, and now as
that year was winding down, they
returned, claiming none was found.
So upon this day Madame Duvalle,
with a fine French Captain and twenty
strong soldiers by his side, demanded
the treasures that the pirates surely
had found, for even now they were living
like Kings, partying all over town.
She knew that they were liars, but
it would require brave men to obtain
the return of her treasures.

In the Casbah, treasures come and
treasures go, and the lovely Madame
Duvalle was a treasure to my soul.
For we had met at least twice before,
at the King's ball in Paris and at
a Brussels silk lace store.
I tried to approach her, but the French
Captain pushed me away, but as he pushed
I called her name, and she said "Wait,
I know him, let him stay."
It was then that I told her of
the pirates secret hiding place,
the soldiers recovered the treasure and
I received the pleasure of her grace.
I never felt such pleasure, as in the
arms of Madame Duvalle, she gave me
her treasure, she gave to me her all.
