Friends, We used to sit and talk Go to the mall and walk, Snicker at the people there, Back then only time did we share. Dreamers, What would we like to do, Meeting history's who's who, Plans of where our careers would go, Waiting for the future to flow. Companions, Beyond the friend with greater trust, Help with laundry remembering to dust, Listening about when things went astray, Smiling back at the end of the day. Lovers, Sharing a touch and a feel, The warmth of skin to skin real, So close that a breath is shared, Delving where neither has dared. Souls, She competed he as he did she, Something that was meant to be, The torn asunder Left to wonder Left alone Like puzzle piece missing, Or a poem that won’t rhyme; Anymore. |

I love the way this poem flowed from the beginning of friendship to lovers who share everything...A wonderful poem filled with feelings... |
