Two boxes of food shall be left out upon my porch. Saturday morning, May 14 and when my USA male mailman arrives he shall have something far more valuable to pick up for local re-delivery than all those Comcast advertisements I choose to return-to-sender. Saturday, May 14. A national food drive. Don't forget to put out whatever you can share. Your own neighbor may be the ultimate recipient. |

Gives us all reason to think of others; selflessness would make this world a better place. |

I wish we didn't need "special" days to be generous. But I hope those who do, will be. glider |

This is a nice gesture - and one that more should think about making. I work in hospice, and we are always trying to scrounge up baskets of food for our families. There are many angels on this earth, those that take it upon themselves to give something back or help someone that may be having a rough time. There is a blessing in that - too bad not everyone sees it that way. Bless you for this, its a wonderful message. becky |

Thanks to all! Our Oregon food drive was successful, even with this being the second or third 'hungriest' state according to some recent stats. Everyone gave what they could. The local food pantry I work at received nearly 1500 lbs of canned and packaged foods yesterday, all from this postal drive, and I can tell you, it took four of us over an hour to unpack all that and fill our shelves! Remember to thank your postman for the extra weight s(he) had to carry around that Saturday! And thank you for helping your neighbors all year long. ![]() |
