Listening to every heart

0 posted 2005-05-03 09:52 AM

In my bluest haven
where I have a found a home
never more to wander
never more to roam

come and sit with me, my friends,
lend to me your words, and spin
me a song in literary form
take me to where my heart is warm

in my bluest haven
a close, safe room of content
'tis poetry I'm craving
and where poetic form is bent

so welcome me with open arms
lend to me your poetic charms
'tis so very good to come back home
where our minds are free to roam

so come by fireside, sit, and cheer
me with words, erase my fear
and extend to me a wordy release
and catch me as I fall to my ease...

For this is home to me...

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?  Keeping in mind, I must stand close...and keep my promises...

a home away from home, kinda like a warm comfortable cabin by the lake, during a mild winter, in front of a fireplace with a delightful book.

Ohhhh I do so love your descriptive ventures....thanks to you, and to Ron and the admins for a welcoming mini vacation

And this blue haven
is exactly how I feel about PiP.
Well said sweet lady.

With rapturous thoughts you've gathered in
Some colored threads and shortened twigs
With joyfilled hands, you've woven a home
that echoes manyfold the love you've given.

We gather in clutches as chicks to hen
Revering your expressions of thought and love
Rejoice you may for the strength of this home
For this structure reflects all who lend a hand.

Well done, Sunshine.  KJ

Sunshine,

Such a nice welcoming to enter your poetic home!  A pleasure to read your writing again.

(p.s. I can hardly wait to read your book!  I wonder if you are finished with the sequel.)

Hi Karilea

I love the feeling of this....a haven is a wonderful place to be....

I don’t mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile

You'll see a smilin' face, a fireplace, a cozy room
Little nest that nestles where the roses bloom

Just Sunshine and me, and Poets write free...
We're happy in your, blue, haven...

Sissie...My mother and father in love called their house, "my blue heaven".  Your poem has a special meaning to me for that reason, and also because we are family...I want to sit with you and them and they and link hands and talk poetry.

It takes a lot of love and some very special people
to make a house a  home, and you are all that, Karilea~

Who needs a fireside when we have Sunshine's welcoming warmth? *S* This is lovely... and more so because I know the sincerity of it. *S*
