Dreams Stayed Up All Night Blackmailing hostile lunacy Like a guillotine blade Slashing the mouth of immobility Some promiscuous museum Strokes of creative spasms Communing particles of dominion What cellular synthesis with earth? Unwound and redounding strength Power counting heavy endearments Clutching avid youth’s face Dreams stayed up all night In some metaphorical flight Directed by intuitive bewilderment Sentimentality redefining spirit Like a force ephemeral, promoting flesh Expanding and surpassing visions Equivalent to the eyes of the universe Like a monotonous unknown quest Streetwalking and asking questions Dreams stayed awake all night Piecing reeds and stretching strings Superimposed sacred music Harmony avalanched Enriching ultraviolet illumination Grecian chant, enlivens heavy-eyed ambiance Like a snobbish redoubling rapture Freckled whispers diving into depth Of some prophetic orchestrated abyss Finding means of extension and renewal Amplifying mauve tone and textures Dreams stayed up all night Genius of canvas rendering impressionists Designer of realistic operas Where harmonies of greens are colored Leaning toward unconsciousness Of some emblematic soundtrack Getting outside the mundane and moving Silken blossoms grand poetic fueling Like some ancient homage in June Dreams stayed awake all night Digging its feet into hindsight Hands folded and at rest Precious tears of happy moments Changing life, changing mind Wearing no space left behind…. Dreams stayed awake all night |
