My future I thought was complete, with gold, silver and diamonds just waiting for me to reach and grab, and live freely the fairy tale life of imaginings. Then I met The Man Without a Face, and heard him ramble on: "Be satisfied with the seemingly small; if you yearn for the great, use a small measure. Never mortgage the present for a future endlessly unfolding. As no one tells the sunflower which way to look, let the present shape your dreams from a necklace of experiences. Never let time tick by without your gentle breath moulding its curve on the windowpane of life. Welcome the moment with open arms, however it appears or slipping from indecisive hands it may drown in shallow pools made from tears of remorse.” |
