The bottle is your closest friend, Helping you slip away, Into your daily coma, The numbness takes over, And reality is no more. Am I here? Do you even see me? Watch me disappear, From all that you can see. I look at you in disgust, Sitting in your chair, In the grandest ol’ stupor, As you ask me to get you another, But I only walk away. I am your daughter, Not your bar-tender, You drink it like water, And give in to its splendor. LIE UPON LIE! SCAR UPON SCAR! SLOWLY YOU KILL YOURSELF! With that poison dripping down your throat. I cannot help you now, ‘Cuz you don’t realize, What you’ve already destroyed… The picture of my father, That I held so closely to my heart, Gone. Burned. Torn. Wasted away. Thanks everyone...This is one of my never-ending issues that I have to deal with...But I don't know why I even bother anymore...There's nothing I can do about it anyways...You can't help someone unless they want to help themselves..
