We seek a subtle common place Understanding held in grace Intoxicating man of storms A garden's trumpet bloomed in thorns My carpet green to spread beneath Upon conflicted feelings wreath The spire lost virginity Distrust once bloomed uncertainly Yet lost too much caress gives such That traces faces known to touch Intense the burn of one to one As thunder rolls your mighty tongue Fed back the fuel of challenge wrought Thus insecure self doubt is brought Fed back in homonyms of quakes Of higher hopes and lower stakes Yet you are this to hold me here My native heart and tanned veneer 'Neath April rain of come what may As Jonquil trumpets softly sway In thorns, withdrawn in earnest mourns Dropped eyes inept at ease or grieves Let low the sun in sweet reprieves Unsalvaged wreckage pain bequeaths Despite the dawn in solitude, that vanquished hopes somehow renewed We seek the subtle common place, the soft of shade befalls your face As left to me, arms wide in glee, a garden tender fervently My body humbled heights assume, the proper sent in love's perfume Copyright Kkh 04/17/05 |

This was beautiful. I throughly enjoyed this poem. Yv-Goddess of Her Domain. Symbol of Truth Passion Pain. Let Her Smile Rain on the Hearts of the Innocent. |

This poem is rich, with a well-cultivated flow, ornamented in the blossoms of love and the fragrance of a freshly picked bouquet. Beautiful…. |

Kathleen, this is one of your finest poems that I have read to date... and be it just, Some will relate... It is a marvelous piece...full of passion, compassion, and life! It is heretofore, libraried, with lights! Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen? Keeping in mind, I must stand close...and keep my promises... |

'Yet you are this to hold me here My native heart and tanned veneer 'Neath April rain of come what may As Jonquil trumpets softly sway' So heartfelt. The images are vivid and the word play is stunning. I enjoyed this. |
