Simple, the words spoken
by a friend,
"one hell of a woman
standing strong."
and I,
just shook my head
      laughing
as I said
"My friend,
you are so very wrong,

I am alone
       and scared
trying to be
the best that I can be,
it's something
much more primitive;

it's the   survival instinct
that lies deep within me.

I have to deal
with each day that comes
and continue fighting the battle,

never lost, yet never won....

I set my focus
on each day
and am grateful
when I can make it through
24 hours
without shedding a tear
is a blessing
tinted         with peaceful hues;

so if that be a strength?

Then please, let me claim it as mine,
and if it is my weakness
   then let me grow stronger
         with the passing of time."

life's a dance
you learn as you go....J.M. Montgomery

Love ya, Nancy

But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul

Enjoyed.

I know what it's like too , to be alone and scared. But reading your words can help. Thanks!
