I met her one September night
and when she looked into my eyes
my heart began to grow.

She shines to fight the morning star
that pierces every darkest night
and sweetly whispers in my ear
and gently she replaces fright.

She lends me love and tenderness
and kindness is her heart's prevail--
and just to catch a glimpse of her
across the edge of map I sail.

She speaks to me those soothing words
and all the things we both hold dear--
and leaves me sure without a doubt -
I need her to be near.

No one is quite like she is
and there aren't words which can compare--
when Leah is beside my side
I am lifted from despair.

She's the Goddess of my prayers.
She is the panacea--
I see her face in every dream -

My life,
  my love,
    My Leah...

How lovely...lucky lady she is to have this beauty dedicated to her.

Thank you Karen for doing my posting for me as I am a bit clumsy at keyboard logistics. However you made a few "mistakes" in translation wich we can discuss correcting later. To the rest of you, thanks for reading and I actually wrote this one in 1996 with was about a year after I met her and we are indeed still together today.   adagio

Ralph it was my pleasure to be of service to you, as I really am thrilled when I discover someone else discovering the joys of poetry.

As for mistakes, I've made a few, but then again, too few to mention. Recognize the song Ralph? A little tune called "My Way"--there's another song I can quote from too, called "Highway".

(I ain't on salary Ralph.) <--Read that again, please.

And I do have other things to do.

But do tell Leah I said "hello"--she's deserving of this and so much more--so I thought I'd give it to her.

See ya tomorrow Ralphie boy. If you're brave enough, that is.

And by the way, I do love the heartfelt sincerity of it, and it's more of a joy for me to read since I know the both of you so well. (They are a cute couple, folks, and Leah knows how to handle him.)

*snort* and *wink*

Oh, dear Ralph, may you find peace and some 'serenity' moments to comfort you.
RIP, Leah, I wish that I could have met you in person, but always felt I knew you through Ralph's words.
