Imagine as the buds of first Magnolia stretch Yawn beneath the morning dawn a wink to catch Enlivened tunes that pulse beneath the blouse of spring Imagine bathing in the shine of new, a simple thing That but a few aware might stop and dare a care to bring Then why, the gentle land of butterfly To catch my breath in gloves of gold and damp ally The fawn of skies wish dragonflies to play A cardinal rule once lost then found and softly tucked away Then why, came fall to spring again around it all today And cherry blossoms, pink and white avail The gentle rains of wayward clouds beneath their sail And I stand naked in the want of lighter things Enlivened tunes that pulse the heart as laughter clings Imagine as the buds of first Magnolia glisten wings and willing listen Luster Copyright Kkh 04/11/05 |
