five dusk petals round the eye we kiss the edge and linger, cling dripping dew of all the hues of lifetimes of remembering curling ends of dark that do everything but cry and you float so gently to the ground... velvet and no need of thorn as if the gentleness of you allowed a stitch of my pretense I would mend this breathe your breath not a notion of duress thread of cleft the blossoming of less and it is aching seed in my heart for all of us to keep us all together now-- As another kites the breeze petaling the sorrowing of this dying of a rose leaving us a trinity wondering if we can bring to the other circling bleed the wind of whistling inbetween the spaces sing stories of the past when we were cleft together bud-- we were a promise of the fledge of life-- why can't miracles be mine? They were. the gathering of us * * * http://www.greenbeam.com/features/plant022299.stm |

I truly hope that you all felt the difference in this one, as it was written more as an affirmation of life, and not about loss. Y'see, as I was reading about roses, I read that the petals of rose pattern in fives...and well, I have four siblings, and when I came across this southern variety described as "A dependable, tough pioneer" I thought of my brothers and sisters. So thanks for reading, and holding my hand yet again, and as each day passes, I understand that I can indeed do this. And I am so lucky. I have two very incredible families. The one I was born into, and the one that lets me hang around--Pip. |

"As another kites the breeze petaling the sorrowing of this dying of a rose leaving us a trinity wondering if we can bring to the other circling bleed the wind of whistling inbetween the spaces sing stories of the past when we were cleft together bud--" One to be treasured for as long as poets read and write, this is. I love your comparison, K. ....jo |
