Baby 81 Abilass, you are the fount of faith, child. Now dry, dry-eyed and dressed in blue and smiling up from your cot: proof of the infinite Mind. Plucked from mother’s hands to skim along on the giant tide, to slide upon the stick-filled ride, buoyant above the drowning din. They gave you a mottu, a black stain like the clinging mud. You see the meat and husks of coconuts, the milk sloshed about shrines? This is a celebration life twice, a gift to mother’s arms and father’s pride. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=514&e=2&u=/ap/20050216/ap_on_ re_as/tsunami_baby81 [This message has been edited by Corinne (02-16-2005 05:12 PM).] |

I saw that story yesterday, and wondered which Passionate poet would bring it to the attention in such a way... I'm glad YOU did! |

It was a joyous moment for 81 and family. And so incredibly sad for all those other 'numbers' who did not have that moment. A tender passionate write, Corinne. I still weep for all the lost thousands. |
