Then She Comes Sometimes she goes away. As she says, "We're not married." so I have no say. She likes to believe that she's a geographic traveler, a citizen of no specific locality, so she travels to exotic foreign lands, and when the wanderers spirit is satayed, then she comes back to me. I may not always "get it" James, sometimes I think too much, but I saw this as a lovely personification of ocean... and it's been awhile since I've read you, and for that I apologize. I liked the gentle tone of this, and it left me a bit rippled, like the beach. Enjoyed. |

I like this one, too, James. Good to see you. Hugs, Ethel |

I guess I had thought it was about a young woman with the heart of a gypsy, but after reading Serenity's reply, I visualize the coming and going of the tides. Very pretty imagery, inviting interpretation... I believe this is one of your best. I'd like to keep it if I may. miscellanea |

Thank you serenity, miscellania, garysgirl and J.Samm for the nice and surprising responses...I wish I could say that I wrote this with the ocean in mind...or with a mysterious double meaning...and I can see the ocean connection now that you have mentioned it...but this was written about a long time friend who is a travel writer...and she loves to travel...and goes at a moments notice...James |
