Think of Me

He talked me into a tomorrow ~

as I, pushed past time’s prime,
posed pragmatic possibilities
while pondering potential doubts

still, he promised more

and dug deep, his hands, gifted,
hovering warm over my mind
just by saying

think of me

he spoke of fact,
what is, and why
and how to overcome
mores and apron strings

and put staid voices down to rest
in very, very warm areas

they are gone

he said, as if it were a P.S.,

then,
his eyes became mirrors,
in his reflection, beauty emerged, as
someone I once knew came forth

becoming one

with tomorrow’s dream.
