He never warmed up for this
and every few seconds
he slips off key,
reminding everyone
he's nothing special.

Raw,
because it leaves no room
for stoic interpretations.
And there are no excuses
when he falls
flat on his face.

This is why I love
acoustic grace.

He was a man of sorrows
...I am a girl of tears.

Enough strings to cover the senses, but the chords demand proper timing and stroke.  Great metaphor and as equal is the write.

reminding me of sitting and listening to the acoustic guitar, so beautiful and how the one who played never thought they were any good.  This really made me smile, Alyssa.
Thank you.

I seem to have this habit lately of hardly ever being around, and forgetting to repy. Forgive me, folks. Please. You have no idea how much your words mean to me!
...

Kahlill,
thank you. I'm glad you liked it, and understand. Also glad you read and replied!

Cpat,
Glad you got that, I wanted a lot of possible layers to this. Actually I think most people saw a different aspect then what I did, but that's alright. Good, even. Thank you for your words

Marge,
You do know how to compliment I sure hope I'm growing... into what I should be, that is. Thank you for the inspiration to keep trying.

Sue,
I'm glad this brought a smile and good memories to you Basically a single acoustic guitar is what I was thinking of too, and how honest, open, and raw that sound is. Glad you understood

Raph,
hey there, thanks for your words. Weird how the good and the painful can fit so closely together. hugs...
