putting faces on surfers
when they stand at the railing
watching the waves

you say they are extreme
and that it makes you shake
when they move under you

you like my arms now
that you have lost the shell
and made it into as basket

for flowers and snapshots
of scary things from before
like stories from utah

and other people's shoes
that never were yours to wear
since you like bare foot love

and surfers watching you dance

as the poems that lie beneath them...

I like this passage especially - the whole poem speaks to me - I do enjoy submerging myself in a bit of Dark in the morning
