This tightness I feel, this blankness, sorrow,
Will not be uplifted ere the morrow,
For vivacity’s oft hard won at best,
It seems in truth laughter’s an unsought guest.

This abhorrence that’s wedded to mine eyes,
This distrust, this hatred that I now prize,
Begs not your forgiveness nor does it care,
For thy sin has blown up something once rare.

This existence poured out, this emptiness,
Will, in no way to gladness coalesce,
If hurt could but kill then here lies my grave,
Let my epitaph have but one word. Slave!

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!
