When Only One Heart Is True

Do you know how hard
it is to love someone
that doesn't love you.
How to sustain a relationship
in which only one heart is true.
Some might say it's easy,
not necessarily so hard to do.
Perhaps it is if you're
a martyr for love, one
that has given up on
receiving love, but
guess what, real love
wouldn't do that to you.
Love is not just something
you give, love is something
that is returned to you.

Love is hard to find, harder to hold, and something we all fear...yet seek. I gave see from where this poem came James. Wonderful capture of the experience.
