Empty spaces within the soul The hurt that never seems to go Blackness fills the void within The pain that never seems to end Hearts that bleed a crimson red Distressing word that once were said Darkness falls upon the mind Wanting to forget that moment in time Voices heard within the night Makes a panic stricken lonesome life Cracked and broken spirits fall Inside my shell I cowardly crawl Reckless feelings of deep despare A hollow place once unaware Unintended circumstances Makes rumors, whispers and evil glances Escaping seems a hopeless goal A constant reminder of what I know Running fast as not to blink Wasting away while taking a drink Holding on to ceaseless blame Carries with it a heavy price of shame Dignity destroyed along the way An expensive cost I had to pay Anger approaches with a silent ascent Exploding in places not where it was meant Lacking control and no where to hide The spirit within has undoubtedly died Believing this was part of a plan Pours salt in the wounds of mortal man Tears are cried that leave a stain When hearts give up and end the pain  Opoetry4me If life hands you a lemon... see if you can trade it for an orange or banana. |
