She saw him,   tall as the trees, wearing
a smile of silk...a gift of song and
a ten gallon hat that hid the gleam of
his eyes...

A warm summer’s night, music floating
across the ripples...waves gently lapping
the weathered sides of a vintage boat.

Destiny drove them....as hidden currents
tugged at two hearts and lights danced
beneath a shimmering moon...

A kiss, held back....an embrace that
never came....a bond that never broke,
a vow that never shattered...

He smiled softly as she slept, there in
his arms....along a river of forgotten
dreams...and remembered moments
when the dance was danced alone...
In wait of when....of where...

I love Mississippi - and some serious magic has been woven there for me in my life - you captured the beauty of a night on the river so well - loved it Barry-

The ending line
could have begun
this lovely,
and finished it,
just so...

a magical tale, it most certainly is...

weave one again,
soon.
