In My Memories - Valentine’s Day Challenge |

There are curves on you that fit my eyes tighter than my lids, must be why I sometimes cry for joy of seeing you so unaware of beauty. Is it because you wear it comfortably forgotten simply as your skin, the same skin I feel on you across a crowded room? Pale eyes see through me calmly as you make yourself at home inside me, as I watch you naked in the mirror puzzle with your face; small smooth muscles cutting shadows on the landscape of your back, I am shaken by the two of you, one real and warm beside me one cold beauty in the glass, soft heat and scent surround me as leaning forward you press edges of delight against the porcelain; thin silk dress crumpled on the floor beside discarded absurdly too tall heels in which you can, with casual grace and balance, calmly stride beside me all legs and breezy silk, quiet smile and confidence, as my soul swells up to burst. ©2005 by icebox |
