the moon hangs low upon the horizon seemingly split in two darkness covers the face in round black shadow dimming the glow and shine that hides behind peeking in crescent view from the hem it is almost as if it stands in front of itself letting its shadow hide its light uncertain that sorrow is not its truth shielding its tender from probing eyes blending fragile into the ambiguity of the night and I think of self of the darkness that sometimes seems to shield the briliance from within threatening to overwhelm and obscure that which I know to be true that soul is made of divinity and created from and for Love if we just let our light so shine s.a.t. seeing the moon tonight - a crescent - it appeared as if there were two - one black standing in front of the one of light - it made me think of the yin and yang from within us If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . . |

Love this Susan. Of course I am into astronomy so I couldn't help but love it. This is really a great piece. Made me sigh! That is more then I have been feeling. Lately I feel down inside...and nothing is making me smile. Cool stuff my friend. |

You describe this scene of the crescent moon with such fine detail and contemplation and as I think a bit on what you have written... I am reminded here that life truly is as you have described the shadow of the earth upon the moon's surface while the light (love) within does not come from within the moon itself, but is a reflection from a far Greater Light and from a far Greater Source as I believe you have described here in your poem as divinity. Sorry to expound so much here, but you have truly touched on a subject that is soooo near and dear to my heart. Thank you for sharing your experience and for the thoughts that your poem has inspired within me. Thank you. -Bob |

and I think of self of the darkness that sometimes seems to shield the briliance from within threatening to overwhelm and obscure that which I know to be true that soul is made of divinity and created from and for Love if we just let our light so shine You have such amazing depths to your writing Susan, and I do thank you for sharing such a beautiful soul with us all. |

The last stanza of this glows with soul's reflection as the waxing crescent illuminates night sky. Lovely thoughts so finely articulated. Indigo |

Susan, You penned it well. Yes, it does look that way, doesn't it? I too was gazing upon it, sitting there quietly....daring me to stare. |

Truly beautiful, dear Susan. Our blockages darken the light of the soul. The moon has always beautiful secrets to tell. Love, Margherita |
