It Fell

It fell and lit the sky a sight
A rainbow in the black of night
That beckoned me to walk its lie
And not to ask its how or why

I walked the path from tint to hew
And wondered in a sky of blue
Drank the mist before it fell
And felt the awe of rainbows spell

The road was full of sheer delight
With trees reflecting rainbows light
The air was full of lilac sweet
And I was dancing down the street

And bells rang out in baritone
To pierce my skin down to the bone
And love surrounds my heart and mind
To touch the soul of humankind

A lovely rainbow in the night
Took me to a heavens delight

I'll bet you can give Gene Kelly a
high-spirited kick for his money...

Enjoyed this smile, Sy!

rainbows form in unexpected places
on roads marked with tires, broken glass
and litter, they form wanting to be heard

thanks for the rainbow today

I know Im a tardy moth...(still fighting this flu bug) ... but I had to come back and get this one to tell you just how absolutely delightful it is...you can not read this poem without smiling...one of your best Sy-guy...full of your poetic gifts of imagery, symbolism, and cadence...it read aloud with pure harmony...you are the grooviest of the winkies. *L*

perhaps there is one of elegant mind,
who has no need to intrude on the solitude of single things.
