You Can't Hide It By Larry Chadwick In honor of my dear friend GG (Alyssa) I know your heart is tender, For the truth has been found In your writing where you Left it ready to be bound. I know your heart is loving, For I saw it in your verse. You cannot hide the truth, It should be your only curse. I know your heart’s been broken, Exposed between the lines. Pain is unavoidable, It happens to all kinds. I know your heart is happy, By the smiles in your rhyme. Seldom is it absent, For I see it all the time. I know your heart is funny, By the giggles of your muse. You cannot seem to hide it, No matter the words that you choose. I know your heart is friendly, It is the nature of your soul. Your kindness you reveal, Helps to make me whole. I know your heart is giving, By the thoughts you always share. It makes it all so obvious, That you really truly care. I know your heart is old, No matter how few the years. Perhaps the wisdom you possess, Was found in falling tears. So the heart you have is oh so good, And blesses me each day. It is nice to have a friend, That I can count on…come what may. February 9, 2005 If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Ahh my ride is supposed to come pick me up for youth group in like two minutes and now you've got me in tears! That's just not fair. I do have to run to make it... but just couldn't leave without saying something. Not sure what to say though, just thank you so much Larry... I'll be back later with hopefully some more legible thoughts and more time to write them. hugs He was a man of sorrows |
