Moth I heard the silence of the night Intruding on my thought Profound recesses of my mind Within in her lamplight caught In bug-eyed fix upon a flame Just as a mindless moth Attuned that any meager sound Ignite the simplest thought Prolific mind, your song is hushed When silences intrude For earth devoid of beast or man Engraves my solitude The ear requires a cradle song To soothe its slumbering eye And any sound produced by life Is like a lullaby Oh, humming buzz! A fly ! A lifeline! Unsuspecting friend! Makes silence flutter from the wick So I can think again Elizabeth Santos |

You too? I love "white noise"... I'm alone, but not... those background sounds just, well, fill in the background so my thoughts are pushed to the fore... and more... they provide the songs that allows heartdance... and, heh...shake my groove... Libraried! Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen? Keeping in mind, I must stand close...and keep my promises... |
