In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2005-02-08 09:54 PM

You keep telling me the earth is in order
that fractured light dances in nature,
you say its hidden in folds of chaos
embedded in the harmony of stars
&sounds like poetry

a gypsy of sorts
lining the chairs just so
to catch the next drawing
and sk
etch of black

the words you ache for most ?

will trickle the dawn
after some inspired night
letting fingers dance
with crescent moon

&heavens will bleed  dying stars
like primary colors ----
rain drops          breaking and falling
sinking into darkness
like trees hanging on the edge of this world

on the other side
wall and water will
define its end

even their shadows will be thin, spreading,
                wandering lost

again I will lay in my aloneness
my faith untouched
                      not held within these arms

that I might see
I am lost in grains of stars
that once held sweep of waves

midnight arrives:
the moon hung  its  stillness
on damp grass
the water held its  reflection

waiting for stone to warm and change

while     winters     gather
to freeze the drops of water

empty in wind

~~*~~
My Shadow is the only one
that walks beside me

For Becki, because I understand.....

Utterly beautiful, the message and the poem as a poem. With every poem you give a lesson in how poetry ought to be done.

Lauren, Lauren...I read this the other nite and was swept by its beauty...so many lines left me wishing I had wrote them...but as always your poetry is so unique that only you could. I'm always grateful to get to read your magical musings.

yep....thats just what I was trying to say.

Among the kingdom of the winds ...
perhaps there is one of elegant mind,
who has no need to intrude on the solitude of single things.
