A Choir of Me

I remember the words to all the songs
my voice carries them
across the separate places that we keep
gathering speed and loudly bleeding the need
to tell    to yell

and the word that I can’t say
will not be spelled for fear
to say it would make it all just disappear
within the throat of time

the tunnel is so long with acoustics’ echo
again and again it comes back to me
from the distance of some other sunset

and I wonder if I could make another word
to replace what has been said before and not said now
what would it be?
perhaps it would just be honesty
given at wink of each window with torture of truth
blinking with sound until I sing with other voices
a choir of me

You see?

Lovely Martie!  I'm not quite sure that "I see" all I'm supposed to but still a wonderful read.

(paraphrased...)
"I remember the words to all the songs;
our voices carried them
across the separate places that we keep ~
gathering speed and loudly bleeding the need
to tell    to yell"

Can you hear that the need to duet with you?  Soon?

You see?"

More than see, I hear, and you write the collective voice of seraphim.

I read a poem once that said when two souls have touched, they will touch again....and in the alternate sunrise that follows this sunset you speak of, perhaps they will. I hope that for all such souls.....or nearly all......
