Not reacting to the outer world But moving with the inside-out… Where engenders identical movement Disappears with me… My own realness Although, Disney affords sanctuary To the vulnerable… and now I know What was to be… You didn’t realize The potential changing life From which my fingers inherited Looney tunes band aides And a great internal characteristic Mannerisms still happens and dream Focus slips through my fingers and... and that's ok, it's all right... A whole larger story of resonance Patterns dominate form So for now, I’m going to my right side Like silence and uncertainy and that's ok, it's all right... I stand keeping a journal Compiling parts Parts of recognizable stories Parts of bigger life I should travel more, shouldn't I? And I will... and that's ok, it's all right... Cold steely business of wading in Slowly, being carried out to a deeper place It’s a habit I have affection for Keeping myriad paths in-tune Filling the shelves of a library Aware of you… Such a glorious worldy commune With nothing to hide A streetlight hovering over Muttering every moment To count our seeds….. Your poems are always so emotionally intense, yet so inteelligent, so literate. I really enjoy that balance in your writing very much....One question: You wrote in this very compelling poem: "...Mannerisms still happens and dreams..." Am I misreading you, or is there a subject verb disagreement here between "Mannerisms and happens"? Warm wishes ~P |
