I long for that echo, silenced. Granite canyons played your voice; staccato, sure... now, quiet as sand. Where are the monuments, high piled? Currents gnaw like eons in a wink, till all I see is desert, without mirage. I whispered your name toward open nothingness, and wait for the miracle of return. |
