You have burned my eyes, till I could not see, pierceing the deepest part of me, Deep holes burned, six inches deep, while I was at the wheel driving, I had fallen asleep, Naked I became, souless, empty from the ache, open, caring, I became, defenseless, to you a mistake, You birthed this child, you gave it a name, what you loved, now becomes your shame, black ashes fall, heart filled with soot, You built the wall, silence you became, death and mute, Starved, naked, I stood, you ate of my flesh, a crow, a raven, a bat, you flew from the dark wood, eating my love, my life, my heart, feasting upon my goodness, devouring me with every breath, sucking the life from me, I became death, These wounds became scars, thick becomes the skin, one that cupids arrow did pierce, now would, but bend, Healer, doctor,you will not be, Poision my body with fake philosophy, fake identity, personality, Yes your love is a flame, burning, destroying, one that rages, not one mortal soul could tame, Burning the bridges, before and after me, leaving destruction, a catastrophe, Burning my eyes, blinding, with smoke, choking me with fumes, binding my heart in metal sashes, Love is your monster, Love will no longer be the death of me, Life will once again, flow from these veins, not one scar will remain, I will rise up, from these black ashes, never to remember your name. Oh, I felt such pain and sorrow from reading your words here. I had not read this kind of poetry from you before... so suffocating... but, thank God, you came out of those dark black ashes near the end of your poem and you rose Triumphent. So much emotion expressed here. I guess it does take much much Love to endure such pain and deception. Very well written and thank you for sharing. -Bob |

Bob~thank you for such a long, loving and caring reply. Yes, It has been a long road..very hard...but I have had to have strength, and love , God, gave me that strength to endure and overcome...I know this is not my usual style..but there is a fine line between love and hate...I can write on other inspirations besides romantic love. Sometimes we all get in a rut when it comes to writing, wanting and daydreaming of the kind of love we wish to have. Love and Hugs ~ARh |
