I live within myself

This was the craziest day of my life.
The snow just wasn’t sticking.
I ran along the ice
And slid as far; as far as the road would take me.
This was the craziest day of my life.

And letters fell upon the knife;
A seal in hope of a lady waiting.
Puncture wounds to place the words,
Upon the heart of this lady in waiting.

This was the craziest day of my life.
A never-ending circular drive.
I placed my hand upon the knife;
The pulse it sent was so alive.
This was the craziest day of my life.

The sun came up and cleared the skies.
The day came forward and smeared the lies.
Till there were none; erased to white.
A perfect day from dawn to night.

This was the craziest day of my life.
The animals’ claws are out to fight.
They howl and howl; it is their right.
But, I haven’t an answer to give them light.
I’ll wait; I’ll wait for night.
For this is the craziest day of my life.

I really like this.  Gutsy, thoughtful, edge on it.

Yes.
