Mature apple month Real pleasure in a carriage Glistening white Hidden away Where hot houses color Early morning in decorative petals Watering cans swarm From heavens shadows Curling around every earthly thing Luster frolics & hums softly Firm broad shouldered expression Stroking grey whiskers Having coffee with this quiver This vigorous balcony Leaves a place in my soul Of violins Attentively listening Mere morsals of what is to be What I will be...then A mirage in the distance With no laws of optics Simply an atmospheric dimenstion I am that little path I am Africa Steep bank on a dark surface Wide fields Frightened child Evening breeze touching you softly Horizon with rose in the sky Bare footed time Clay bank and vanished smoke Intense desire Radiantly inspired A black garment of hope Embarrassed blush Nonsensical hush Tired trembling hands Deep sighs, belly laughs A laborer in large gardens That married light A good heart stained and shy Trenching the soil, impersonal Ignorance and wide eyed Bad tempered and silly Absurdly friendly Face of thought, you occupy Nervous exhaustion Sometimes...the thorn in your side Your hallucination I am struggle and sin Common and exquisite Wearing a different dress when we dance You have become as I, Necessities of our existence Insignificant to most Yet extraordinary to our persistence Polite love looking through a window Joy smothers my being… With fuller face Good natured independence Has surely, been good to me [This message has been edited by LeeJ (01-28-2005 02:51 PM).] |

Interesting stream of thought. I imagine most of we pip-ers can find at least a few lines to reflect on with a nodding head. Enjoyed Poets against the war is redundant |

Lee I was reading this and the thought that kept coming back to me was "and then came aids". What apples do you bite when no-one is alive to pick them. I'd need to read your words a lot of times to fully understand them. It seemed as if every topic spawned another set of topics. regards Dave |

in the beginning, i felt inspired to head my butt down to the park and hit the conservatory - the spring blooms will all be out about now - nothing like glory in color in February - (yes, i know it's still January, but close counts) as i read on, i thought of lovers in elementary simplicity - feeling and discovering each other without pretense - the african part - to me, is letting go of all our civilized affectations and finding our primal emotions - ah, but that's just me the fun thing about your work is its complexity in that it allows so many different interpretations - and yet, still, one gets a sense of your essence through the words as well - Hugs - Susan If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . . |

Sometimes...the thorn in your side Your hallucination I am struggle and sin Common and exquisite Wearing a different dress when we dance You have become as I, Necessities of our existence Insignificant to most Yet extraordinary to our persistence Polite love looking through a window Joy smothers my being… With fuller face Good natured independence Has surely, been good to me The entire of this was wonderful to read...and my favorite lines describe the beauty of and ageless child...the one that smiles in you.
