And just when I thought
it was safe
to move the furniture around
in the charity thrift store I hang out in

you know, re-positioning everything
so the nice stuff makes up for the junk?
so the customers can maneuver around
without bruised shins, pocketbooks or egos?

when in walks six foot Peter,
smiling and joking
and generally re-adjusting
everyone's attitudes
especially mine
when he (Peter)
gives a lady friend a hug and says
(I quote)

"Just what every woman needs...
a six foot Peter."

*sigh*
Needless to say, he stopped me in my tracks,
and I am still grinning.

Karen, I did...but this real-life anecdote is far more interesting than my Rorshach responses. I just didn't see what those researchers were seeing in those blots

Hey, the first time they gave me a Rorshach test I told the shrink if he showed me any more of those sick dirty pictures I'd make him eat the cards!

A nickname for Richard is Dick, my middle initial is S, last name Wells. Put too rapidly together and get your face slapped. Cute post.

Remembering my afternoon at the Chicago zoo, long ago....

"Look Mom, that elephant has two trunks!"

There's nothing else I remember from that jaunt, only that kid, the elephant, and her poor mama....who would have very much disagreed with the premise of this poem at that particular moment......
