Perhaps, through a fissure in my heart, A partly opened window of my soul, Covered in collected lacey memories So gently lifted in a zephyr’s kiss That enables her to slip through unnoticed? So naked am I, on this cold winter’s eve, Bones chilling to pounding silence, Darkness enveloping me in searing pain. This is when she finds me partially singed. Are there more like me who even will dare Sip moonlight’s incandescent wine and want more? In a candle flicker, She and it become one entity Whose movements sing songs of warmth, Illuminating dark passageways of my mind. I, a participant in these mind games as she, Shadow dances our night away. She visits me only when owls seek prey, When forest sprites dance the night away. Her suspended illumination gracefully Dances my room, floating, then, Finally she surrounds me in unexplainable warmth By settling into my empty hands Filling my heart and soul. I lightly drink of the quiescent spirit held In these precious cupped and lifted hands, With a thirst that will never be quenched. I know she is sighing there in the light, Knowing hers is the only light I let in To warm my winter’s soul. Ah, but perchance, When evening fades to evermore, When sprites and spirits tuck themselves in to sleep Allowing both the living and dead a moment’s peace, Will I feel her haunted breath, Only to arise and drink in her light. I survive living for the night, To be filled up once more. ~* For Willow *~ The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all art and science. My dear friend, you have written of an unsayable time... and this well befits Willow's page. Forevermore. She is dancing, in pride of her friend. Love, K |

Thanks so much everyone. I am not even sure if these writes are poetry, and certainly not good poetry, but I know one thing that they have to come out, and I cry the entire time I write them. Doing these is when I wish the most that I had the ability of some in here to collect the right words to just show how much I feel. Thanks again for reading these for just what they are. Tender moments in time. |

You seem to have captured a moment in time, when earthly reality and the supernatural lose that fuzzy grey line, and for a moment ... all is one, and the mystical becomes tangible. Beautiful, Sharon. Best wishes and hugs, /Kit |

Thanks everyone - I wish this were true, but sometimes when my bedroom fairy lamps flicker at night my granddaughter thinks she sees fairies dancing on the ceiling, and we always agree has to be Willow. She will always be missed, always! R- check email |

Yes, doesn't inspiration come from many many wonderfully imaginative and creative sources and I can certainly imagine being so stimulated, as you've expressed here, from moonlight’s incandescent wine... (Sigh) Thank you for sharing. -Bob |
