Darling, come let me whisper in your ear Does it stun you to see this side of me? The caustic darkening is for you Today you sample my retribution Does it leave a bitter taste upon your tongue? Cry real tears for me this time But oh, sweets, you are not capable Trying so hard to keep the act The town crier singing of how he is the victim You use that acid mouth to tell me how you will do right by me The words sizzle with poison and burn my thoughts Close your infernal lips Look into the mirror I hold before you Let the venom of you reflect back And burn you blind So you may never be so vain again That you talk yourself into believing You are a real man A true man A man worthy of my time "cast me gently into the morning, for the night has been unkind" |

I'd always said I'd buy tickets to see the match between you and whomever might be silly enough to underestimate you. And lookie here, I got to see it for free! Izzit just me, or has there been a can of whup ass opened up I didn't know about? and it's okay. *laughing* I don't need to know. It's like the mafia. The less we know, the safer we are... But I wouldn't mind watching you mud wrestle either. *grin* HUGE HUGS (we're friends, right?) *chuckle* |

Ah Susan, you've got the crowd going wild - some of the replies are a kick- The poem itself is indeed a well aimed dart, and should it hit its mark - the target will indeed suffer a painful wound for the point is sharp- well written - very emotive I hope that peace will be yours and that this New Year will be full of sweet pleasures- Susan Every action generates a force that returns to us in like kind . . . let us choose compassion and love |

I think I'd better write something nice about this one.....(wouldn't want Susan C. mad at me!! lol) Really, a lot of emotion boils in this one and I sure wouldn't want to be the person this is aimed at! I'm sure, if he has any sensitivity about him at all, he has felt your message. Susan, I hope you have a good 2005 with many happy surprises..........jo |

Er, I really do hope I never find myself on your bad side... I've a feeling this person regrets whatever they did now. And they'll continue regretting it for a long time. Point well made! Always, Alyssa He was a man of sorrows |

lol... okay, so I might have some anger issues... but in my own defense, I really have to be pushed...yanno? and besides if I were really going to do something, I wouldn't write about it...I don't want to meet all of you for the first time from the defendant's chair... Thank you for all the great replies! for everyone.. "cast me gently into the morning, for the night has been unkind" |

Anger issues??? I didn't see any issues here. lol I have to say, I don't think there is any questions as to where this person is on your list of beloved. Happy New Year to you and may you find a new year filled with the opposite of this one. |

Cry real tears for me this time But oh, sweets, you are not capable Trying so hard to keep the act The town crier singing of how he is the victim Still shaking my head amazed at the similarites in our lives....lmao. I really love the attitude in this one Susan. |

A sketch of a permanent etch, a fetching kvetch. Poets against the war is redundant |

A very good title. I do think that you express your rejection of causticity very very well here. -Bob |
