The Substance of Fire

a fire is only
true to its name,
to its inner glow
from which it came

charred of anger
blades of jealousy
coals of hatred,
burnt so ragingly

but love's something
which burns deeper yet,
a soul of flames
dying to be set

for within this glow
... seeds of desire,
our making of
the substance of fire

been thinking about this one on and off all day...i wont say why, but just know that this provoked a lot of my own thoughts and i enjoy when a poem does that. ~S
