The golden sheen of your soft furcoat, the excited look in your eyes as you greet me in the morning light. A friend for eternity, always warm, loyal, and full of love to share. Intrigued expressions cross your face, and you perk up your ears in interest. Wagging your bottle-brush tail as you chase the green tennis ball all across the garden. So ready and forever up for a game, in love with the pleasure of pleasing. And when you rest your gentle head, upon my knee, I look deep into your eyes and say "I love you" She looks back, and silently whispers "I love you to" Pride is holding your head up, when everyone else has their's lowered. Courage is what makes you do it. |
