       In Touch

you know
      and your knowing
                         holds you still
know why
       my fingers trace
                         the lines
of you
       yes you know
                         why I touch
eyes closed
       yours, now mine
                         now both open
as I skim
       along your skin
                         airy, smooth
light as
       a sprinkle of sand
                         along your cheek
curving where
       you curve, turning
                         where you turn
you know
       my hand needs
                         to remember
to simply
       memorize the touch
                         the feel of you
absorb your
        warmth, your soft
                         soft essence
own you now
        in the only way
                         I can own you
so that
        some day, alone
                        I will not be alone
I will have
        at least this
                        one moment learned
held forever
         one memory
                        one touch.....
