Old and raw but it isn't an invitation to cause someone a nuisance, it is about courage when you are young, in love or feel you are, and you make an absolute fool of yourself. Dave I have a desire to be hot-wired By the number on your door To be at one with your bell So my life would be assured But love flees and all else is false And it isn't like before Knocking on your door brings your face Which smiles with a pleasant grace And the goodbye and peace Hit my heart They are the ends I had hoped for another start And not the little number That I know so well That has brought no peace Only driven me closer to hell |
