Heartache Seeps Seriatim
~*Marge Tindal*~

One by one
two by two
breaking
pieces
fragmented

litter the night
Count the memories
Count the numerous tears

never quite enough of the first
and, so far, too many of the last
Twisted rend of love unattended
carelessly strewn o'er the path
No other aching compares
to the fragility left
lying there~

Word of the Day for Monday January 24, 2005

seriatim \sir-ee-AY-tim; -AT-im\, adverb:
In a series; one after another.

~*When the heart grieves over what it has lost,
the spirit rejoices over what it has left.
- Sufi epigram <))><

Now, let this pot that you've drawn with your seriatim words be completely full and overflowing, my po(e)tess friend, with wonderful wonderful memories that you need not be sad any longer. (Smiles) Thank you for sharing the new word and for sharing your wonderful talent. -Bob
