So since when I ask
Is humanity
Something we must earn
Like a blue ribbon,
Or halos and wings.

I'm sick of all this,
I'm sick of the hate
I'm sick of proving
I'm human enough.

So since when am I,
Such a bad person,
Because of what I,
believe in or am?

So since when today
is different bad.
It's diversity.

Which I thought was good.
But I guess maybe
my first grade teacher
is horrably wrong.
