Between the Lines

When those words come
from sandy soil, a world away,
with thanks and appreciation tears
across this blue
more than anyone can know, the loss,
except he,
so much still, holds inside
(the ache for her) and all that was
now gone, in another's hands
a touch only in memory
when coming across unexpectedly
fingering the objects
left behind.

To read your words,
of favor, a Godson who thinks of me
when reality recalls and the need is there
to feel...even if an emptiness
to take away the numb
that constantly feeds into our souls
of loneliness.

good morning Lee...

I received an email from my nephew
(Godson/sister's youngest) who was called up to the Middle East
thanking me for taking care of his Mother/my sister
while she was ill and those last moments
that only I was there for...

It was one of those morning when
we were in sync

hugs to you - this was very touching - my nephew is in Iraq - it has changed him - some ways good, some ways bad, but now he can say he is definitely no longer a boy-

Your memories are a personal keepsake that will last forever.
So draw on them and hold her close.

Love and hugs to you, Maureen~
