I'm Not a Desperate
Housewife

I’m not a Desperate Housewife
Don’t think I’ll ever be
soon making changes in my life
so found on prime TV
Not found on Cops nor Hill Street Blues
Not planning anyway
on making any real big news
for morning show, Today
I’m not Lost nor Wife Swapping
and don’t think I will be
soon advertised for shopping
on channel QVC
But, still, I think I have a chance
a chance that’s far from none
to show my dance and to romance
a public in what's fun
if they could only visualize
if they could only see
what’s valued entertainment wise
in writing poetry.

Smiles,
Lighthouse Bob

Wouldn't they have a whole new show then, Robert?

"The Perils of Proper Poetry"...

Can't you just see it?

Thank you for this!

Now what a great idea?  Let's see how could we get a reality t.v. show going with poetry.  Maybe I can be your agent Bob   This was oh so very cute!  I am glad you were inspired LOL.

I can see it now...millions of people tuning in each week to watch a bunch of poets commune with their muses...hmmm...

lol, I love it!
And I can picture the show...
it would follow different writers here at Pip. There'd be scenes of everyone wide-eyed at 4 AM, reading their thesaurus, trying to find that one right word to finish the poem. Then everyone drinking coffee at 6 AM while reading Sey's work. Then everyone looking for balladeer and toe's writing in the middle of the work day because they need to laugh. Unfortunately it'd be rather predictable lol ...but I'd watch! Great poem...

Always, Alyssa

Love it! Do you think the bredth and depth of a poets feelings could posssibly be contained on a t.v. screen?  I'll have to share this one with Rebecca, too when she's up to it.

Perhaps you and Sharon could be paid for advertising this show. I'm one of the many who can't wait to see it now,  after your posts.

Everyone,

Thank you for your replies. I did get a good laugh from most of them and the funny thing here is that I have just started back to college as a junior to get a BA in Teledramatic Arts and Technology (Film Making), so I do suppose anything here mentioned might be certainly possible in the far far future.
