If I was an artist what colour the sky
if not red for desire, wishes, and wants,
and purple not blue for the inner of me
stirred by a touch into true love.

If I was a potter, one hand or two
to mould all of my dreams into reality
but it always takes two to strengthen the base
and allow the future to take care of itself.

If I was a singer I’d tune into you
and give voice to the rhythm of heart
or a poet perhaps to speak emotionally
of the length and breadth of insight.

A walker in fields but it’s only in dreams
that I climb to the highest peak
and open my arms to the beauty in you
like the starving reach out for food.

There are hands in my dreams and energy
and I ask sometimes do they know my heart
for they lead me in dance unwaveringly
exactly and always where I want to be.

I could tell you a tale if you promise to hear
of my winter’s cold canvas of green
but first and foremost you must come to know
love always paints colour on soul!

such a lovely ending to a wonderful poem, Helen...have I told you  that I admire your view on life?

Thank you LeeJ - I guess I can only write what's true to me because if I stopped to rearrange ... well, it then just wouldn't be me but a product of reality bowing to how things appear.     Perhaps not quite but something along those lines.

M - thank you.  No, I don't believe that I'm aware of my outlook on life being admired and I thank you now for that.
