Listening to every heart

“Query this,” said the salty mule,
For he thought he was majesty ~
“Twixt you and I, now who should rule?”
“Query this,” said the salty mule.
Owl quipped, “Let’s decide – we’ll play pool!”
Feathers, hooves, make for travesty…
“Query this,” thought the salty mule
For he imagined majesty.

A lot of green, but I think you pocketed the 8 ball with this one... Smiles. (hmmmm) What I mean is that this is a difficult style of poetry to write, but you certainly have written a winner. Enjoyed. -Bob

Hey Sunshine...I love this. Oh what a precious piece you have here. Made me smile from ear to ear this morning.

So they squabbled and they dithered
while their chance for glory withered,
til it they found, amid their spat
they'd been supplanted by a rat!
Leader that he was, he brought
his army, and havoc he wrought;
the ass did flee, the owl, she flew,
for none could face Ratleader's crew!
